Hi all!

After a 5 year stint in Aus, I'm being transferred to Doha

Has anyone shipped their household belongings from aus (I'm based in brisbane at the moment) and any good, bad or indifferent stories for companies.

We used crown for Bahrain brissie and then brissie to uk in feb this year. Also now using them for uk to Dubai
The brissie side was excellent but remember all prices are negotiable so get other quotes and beat them down. We have saved big time on last few moves.yours is probably a company move so savings won't bother you

Thanks tocks! Do you sleep with bricks under your bed? Haha it is a company transfer but I have a budget. It kills me to get quoted $15k for 14 cubic metres, Pay for the entire container to be transported, and said company will pack other goodies into it! Have a missed call from crown so ill be onto them tomorrow! at the mo it will be cheaper to just get new stuff and ship the essential sentimentals!

That's a bit excessive even for sole use of a 20 foot which is 28 cubic meters.
Have a beer for me in the pig and whistle before you leave and don't forget to buy one of those grotesque kangaroo paw bottle openers cos you just can't buy them anywhere else
