Do it. QA is not a great airline but they are adding so many more flights this year that there's plenty of work. The ID90s are a good bonus for you and Doha isn't that boring anyway. Be aware though at busy times you will get bumped off the flight you booked.

Re: Shall I do it?
Thanks guys, the ID90's do sound great, they also chuck in a full return ticket for me and 2 family members so I get a guaranteed ride home each year.
Same school! Apparently Qatar Airways ran out of line trainers so they couldn't accommodate the new guys. I've heard that it's no longer an issue, but I will scrutinise the offer before I accept it. Do you know if they're getting paid?
Beware though i have a friend whose joined QA direct from a UK/NZ based school, has been here in Doha for 6-8 months and is still yet to fly, seems theyve been over-recruiting...............if theyve made u an offer id snap there hand off before its gone. imho!

I've been here for 2 weeks, from what I've seen in a (admittedly short) time there seems to be plenty to do here as long as you are prepared to look for it, and the expat community seem to look after their own - I certainly don't feel as if I am stuck in the desert!

Doha isn't Dubai, but there again it isn't Riyadh, either, and seems to be improving , albeit slowly, every time I've been back.

Enouraging words or not my husband is 777?tre so he knows the industry! You need to take the jet job as offered - most people aren't that lucky and have to work their way up through turboprops!

Re: Shall I do it?
It would be that easy if it were the only job available, but as I've previously said if I don't take the job at Qatar then I will get a job at Easyjet in the UK.
This is why it's a hard choice for me, if I stay in the Uk then yes I will be paid a lot less, but the UK has all of my friends and family. If I work for Qatar then I will earn a lot more but I am worried about being bored and lonely.
I have to say that I'm definitely swinging towards Qatar after doing a lot of reading on this forum and others.
