Well I feel a little better - thanks.
MH: It's not that I'm 'taking it seriously' - I just know my wife/daughter would have to be very trusting indeed to simply take my reassuring word for it that there is nothing to be concerned about.
And I notice that NOBODY has had the guts to answer the question I put to Ray - how would YOU explain that to YOUR daughter? And since my wife's motto is 'never knowingly happy' it's a tricky one.

Why don't you just give your daughter and wife their own number.. or even the "other" number you have
