MH: It's not that I'm 'taking it seriously' - I just know my wife/daughter would have to be very trusting indeed to simply take my reassuring word for it that there is nothing to be concerned about.

And I notice that NOBODY has had the guts to answer the question I put to Ray - how would YOU explain that to YOUR daughter? And since my wife's motto is 'never knowingly happy' it's a tricky one.

Ray - you obviously thought my reaction was OTT, but I still think this is TOTALLY different from spam e-mail.

I'll get me coat.............

well...if my husband got one of those I would never even think about taking it seriously...does that answer your question?

I know how I would explain it to my daughter.. but she is 18

Just be yourself and tell the truth...What if that text was sent the first time she was using your mobile??? You would still be shocked...
