Default Sending a watch from US to Saudi - customs?

Ive bought a lot of "stuff" from the US and UK, using aramex shop and ship. Never had to pay any customs duties, though my purchases were all under $500.

I've bought a watch in the US, cost approx $2000 - just wondering what the best way to send it to me in Saudi is?

Not sure if I'd have to pay duty either - if I want it insured I would have to declare its true value.

Has anyone had any experience with something similar?

If you used Aramex shop and ship that will tell you how much duty to expect I would expect. I haven't used it myself as I use DHL EasyShop instead, but that definitely tells you how much it is .... and last time i ordered something the duty was peanuts..

Was the something you ordered valuable, can you give me an idea of worth? I've used aramex over 100 times and have never had to pay any duty.

I bought matching cameras for me and Mrs typical. Ordered same time but they were shipped in two goes as one was in stock and one wasn't. Both shop and ship from US to UAE.

One I had to pay duty on, one I didn't.

Who knows.

(The Saudis have impounded every single hard drive and laptop we've sent to the Kingdom, though. Grr.)
