Default selling a car in Dubai- auto release letter

Has anyone sold a car recently? Do you need the clearance letter from the bank to show your loan has been paid off?
I applied for it from the bank and the helpful lady behind the counter told me that I get a text from RTA which is sufficient.
Am I going to show up at the RTA Tasjeel place and get laughed out of there with my text message and no letter?
(I did read somewhere that rules had changed since June 2014)

TIA

I believe the text from the RTA confirms that their system has been updated, ie the lien has been removed from your car. Should be sufficient. If you're in doubt just call the RTA hotline....

I sold a car a month or so ago. If you have a text message from the RTA (takes 2 days from clearing the loan) then you are good. If you are desperate and the buyer doesn't believe you, you can go to the RTA and get a new registration card that shows it is mortgage free. New card is about 35dh.
