Ed Pies

We are now seven weeks away from our move to Dubai, and we have just had a place in Year 1 at DESS confirmed for our daughter.

We are really pleased having heard the horror stories of trying to find places at schools and especially Year 1, but after a bit of effort and charm, it was relatively straight forward.

My new job is in Festival City, so it should hopefully be quite easy for the school run.

Hopefully this is some inspiration for those who are anxious about schools.

Where do you travel from to get to school - how long does it take?

We are looking in a few different area, but we need to be near school and Festival city.

well done, fabulous school!!! wish we were still in satwa so we could send our daughter there. You daughter will love it ! you need to look at stuff in Mirdiff, Satwa, Jumeirah 1 type areas.

Garhoud would be pretty handy for both school and festival city. We are in Silicon Oasis and takes maybe 15 mins from here straight down the al ain road, if you were in Ranches probably an extra 10 mins to the al ain road
