Saudi Opportunities

Morning all.
I have a commercial background and am living in the UK but am looking to move to Saudi. I wanted to work on the line project due to it being remote and having to live on site hence saving as much as possible, but I understand that the line project is descaling. Are there any other major schemes being undertaken which are remote?
Also, are there any decent recruitment agencies I could forward my CV too?

Commercial what?

My husband is headhunted almost daily for stuff in the ME via LinkedIn. And his company is a major engineering consultancy working on various projects out there, they tend to recruit via LinkedIn too. So I’d get yourself on there, make sure your settings show you’re open to work in Saudi, and sell yourself - if you’ve got skills they need, that’s where they’ll find you.

Good luck.

Good afternoon, unfortunately I don’t have LinkedIn. Do you have his company name or email and I’ll send him my CV. I’m qualified as a QS but I’m currently working as a Commercial Manager on multiple projects manager various size budgets.

I appreciate its not easy to catch up on Linkedin as it takes a lot of time to build a decent profile, however even if its for the future I'd start to build your profile on there. Lots of companies / recruiters exclusively use it to source candidates unless it's for something very specialist. Even if you use it at this stage as a job search tool it's worth doing.

Yes, get on linkedin. Sending emails and cvs won't get you very far without some good recruiters. A few large projects that have remote solutions. But having worked on one of them with 3.5 months of leave a year, I can assure you the spent up spending can't easily get out of control when you are constantly jetting off on holiday. Not a setup all remote projects have.

But life in a labour camp is tough going, not for everyone. But if you are set on saving money, it may be just the right fit.

Yep, as said above, get yourself on LinkedIn. These days a lot of recruiters (including HR for my husband’s company) don’t use anything else so you’re going to miss out on a lot of opportunities if you’re not on there.
