Hi Guys,

Good Day..I need your opinion and help regarding below points..

I am an Indian Citizen with work visa in UK valid till 2015. However I have now a Job in saudi Arabia for 6 months. So please suggest and help me with below

1. My Company pays me in USD, Should I provide my UK Bank account number or my Indian bank account number ?
A tax of 5% is deducted before my pay in Saudi.
Reason I am asking is if I give my UK bank account number will I be taxed again ?

2. What activities I can learn in saudi which would add to my personal life ? I mean are there GYM , Swimming etc

3. What is the cheapest and best airlines to travel from saudi to london if we book in advance

4. Anyother suggestions are welcome..Please help

Re: Saudi - Jeddah - Help

Hi,

I used to be paid in GBP into my UK account and didn't pay tax on that, so would think you are ok - but would still advise to check out that. If you are paid in USD, I guess you will lose a small amount in converting that back into GBP for your UK account.

If in Jeddah, the best activity is probably scuba diving. It is by all accounts, one of the best diving spots world wide, the Red Sea draws many divers to Jeddah, there are plenty of diving clubs, and plenty of places to learn. Otherwise, if you on a compound, there will be a gym, with a pool etc.

Airlines - direct flights to and from the UK are Saudi Airlines and British Airways. Booking in advance will probably mean BA are slightly cheaper. Flying through other airlines will mean a change, but cost might a bit cheaper. Avoid the peak holiday seasons, and you can get some good deals if booking in advance.

Flight wise at the moment Saudi Airlines has beaten BA but it all depends. Avoid flying around Muslim holidays and you should be able to get a return JED/LHR for approx £350. If you don't mind an indirect flight, look at Jordan airlines.
