Saudi DL for Female Dependents

Anyone has reliable info about conversion of a foreign licence to saudi licence for women on dependent status? No any explanation from Police Dept, just not allowed for those whose iqama says "not permitted to work". Any rumors when this ban going to be lifted? Or success stories about ways around?

apparently it was dead easy not so long ago but things have changed. The rumour is that the hold up is the desire to prioritise resources to giving Saudi national females licenses before the expat population. So, for now, there's a mushkila it seems.

Yes, it takes three minutes for working expats to complete driving test and get printed licence in another five minutes. No any inrush of local females in Jeddah police station, most of the time no one visitor inside, only few yawning officers.
