Default saudi arabia advice

my gf is wanting to move to saudi to live with her parents and wants me to go with her ,
her father has told me he can get me a job with a friend of his for the enginerring company he runs ,
i have worked in enginerring in the uk for 7 years and i have a basic enginerring city and guilds certificate level 2 ,

im not worried about the getting the job as this is pretty much already on the table , what i am worried about is when doing some research it says you have to have your certificates validated to get your work visa to see if it is relvant to what your new job entails , i like i say i have a basic cert just wondered if this is enough and was just wondering how strict they are on this
thankyou in advance

Nobody will care if your degree is a match for your job. They only care that your degree and nationality matches the block visa that your company has available. The point of this verification is not to establish the merit of your qualification fort the job offer but to put a few stamps on your degree so as to employ a few people in the agency and the embassy and make a few bucks in the process.

You should be more concerned with the lifestyle you and your gf will or in fact won't be having. You will not be able to hang out anywhere except in compounds. You can't go for a dinner or even shopping together as you're not married. She can only go out with her dad. Or perhaps her mum but not with you. You won't be able to hang out together with other friends (except again in compounds) unless it's boys only or girls only. There is no dating in KSA, there is no mixed company, there's just marriage and family. I don't want to scare you, it just feels as if you have absolutely no idea what you're getting yourself into.

Ok, you need the cert stamped in the Saudi embassy and before that by ministry of foreign affairs of your country. Your degree and your employer's block visa have to match. For example if you're a civil engineer with UK passport then your employer has to have a block visa to employ a civil engineer with a UK passport.
