Salik - SMS confirmation?

Hello,

yes another bloody salik (the worlds biggest oxymoronic branding - clear!!! hahaha).

Anyway - I bought this about a week ago and still not had the SMS confirmation of account etc.

Has anyone actually received their SMS - if so - when did you buy your pack?

We got ours a week ago and still no sms confirmation. I know some people have been waiting 2 weeks...

And to think they've only had 160,000 applicants and there are 650,000 cars registered in Dubai.

I've not registered yet - I think there are loads of people who don't even know about it - I was talking to my neighbour the other day and he hadn't even heard about it

I know couldn't quite understand it myself and he's english so no language barrier problems. Maybe he doesn't venture outside of here apart from to the airport and back

I was really well organised (for a change) and bought the tag about 2 weeks ago. Got the SMS confirmation about a week after that. Judging by the number of people buying tags on Saturday when I was filling the car up with petrol they may be a little snowed under at the moment. Why does everybody in Dubai leave everything until the last minute?

got it last week, & received the sms after 4 days, the bad news is that now the packs are not even available in the gas stations!! so i think people who did not buy them will have to detour before the gates

but you will be on an island when they build the new canal! you will have to get the jet ski's from Jammy to be able to commute with the rest of the world!
