But you can't stick it on tinted glass! you have to have a space around it or the thingymebob cant read the tag thing. Which means a new windscreen if youre tinted or a replacement piece of glass!

I think whoever told you that is pulling your leg The tags will use radio signals, so it makes no difference whether your glass is tinted or not.

Then that's a technology that sounds horribly likely to go wrong! Pretty much everywhere else in the world that uses tags on cars, it's a radio system, not an optical one.

Cut a lump out and replace with clear glass so that the tag can be picked up by the thingamebob machine! Or replace youre tinted windows!
