My husband and I have been in Dubai now for a couple of months, and decided to wait until the sales to buy furniture. Does anyone know when the sales actually start? Places like The One? You ask them and they don't have an answer.

Also does anyone know of a good place to buy wallpaper?

Ace had wallpaper but nothing special...if you are after more quality wallpaper you can go Presotto, on Umm Sequim Street, it's past Marina on the same side, now there is one of those new busshelters in front of it. They have a decent collection of wallpaper but they will need to order it.

If you are after a lot of furniture, why not look at the various classified? Many people sell when leaving the country & there is some quality stuff to be had for decent prices.
