Salary Expectations - Qatar
I am in the initial phases of being recruited for a job starting a company in Qatar. Initially, the company was going to be based in Bangkok and all figures, including my salary were based on that, as I already live here.
Now, they want to base the company in Doha. Ouch.
At any rate, opportunities are opportunities. Anybody have information on salary expectations and compensation pacakges in that region, or maybe a good website that does?
Position: Managing Director
Company: Media (CGI & Commercial production)
Thanks for any information.

www.salaryexpert.com have a worldwide salary calculator which might help you.
Today's Gulf News (in Dubai) says the average rent for a 2BR apartment in Doha has increased 80% in the past year . . . so I would say your main concern needs to be an adequate (and up-to-date) accommodation allowance.

Actually, Qatar is growing faster than UAE economically and statistically, so, they are most likely building for needed expansion versus vanity induced infrastructure disasters.
