As-salaam alaikum ya shahbab
Hi - just discovered this forum today, having been in Abu Dhabi for 2.5 years!! And to make it more ironic, I'm sat in rural Oxfordshire as I type!!
I'm a Brit expat, teaching in the UAE. Grew up in Kuwait so it's familiar territory to me (any ex-New English School students out there?). Lived in London (Kings College, University of London anyone??) and practiced engineering in Poole for several years (worked with BAE systems, McLaren Racing & the MOD). OK, enough networking leads!!!
Major question for all UAE-ites : is there life in Abu Dhabi outside of the Hemmingways/Heroes/PJs/Trader Vics circuit??? Or do we have to put up with the 90-minutes cruise down to Dubai, picking up speeding tickets the whole way???
