Safari???
 

Someone mentioned there was a shop called Safari on either Al Wasl Road or the beach road? Supplying things like cool boxes, chaira, rugs etc etc.

Does anyone know where it is? 6 hours on a mat in AD while everyone else had comfortable chairs has spurred action!

True, but was keen to check out a specialist shop....plus kit the car for some off-road.

Picnico? on the Beach Road, behind one of the Garages, can't remember which on though!! on the right hand side as you drive into Dubai.

Why go to a specialist store charging exorbitant prices? Go to Hyper Panda or Ace Hardware at Dubai Festival City. Yours truly bought a two man tent last month for Dhs19.95...wouldn't put it up in Tsavo National Park but fine for the beach or picnics.

Read somewhere that some guy bought some air-conditioning units from Carrefour recently and, on the very first night, they set the house on fire.

It's the Eppco in Jumeirah 3 and it also has a watersports shop behind it which I now forget the name of (Al Boom??? as mentioned above?) Thanks.

Picnic/camping stuff just go to carrefour its alright for the money and theres no weather to contend with anyway.

DO NOT buy stuff for your car in carrefour etc for offroading, its cheap chinese crap and could kill someone. Go to Ace, Robbies Motorsports, Icon Autos etc to get tow ropes and so on for offroading. You will pay more but its not an area to be cheap in not if you value your safety
