Default Riyadh - living off compound for a family? Various questions

Hi, I have a couple of mates both living off compounds in lovely villas that are about 100k a year cheaper than compounds. They live in quite areas, and like it. The villas are brand new and one even has a pool for 150k a year.
I have two school aged kids, both blonde hair blue eyes, is it safe?

What would be the approx cost of a driver? Or a 20 min taxi journey For school drop off/ pick up?

If my wife wanted to take the kids to the mall without me, could she?

Do many folk get school fees paid in Riyahd ?
Thanks

Where are those Villas located at?
Ask your mates about neighbours, are they good? If so, then go ahead. Most of the areas in Riyadh are safe especially North of Riyadh. "Exit 5-6-7"
Where is the school at? How far from home to School?

Yes wife can go out for shopping/dine out/free time, but my advise is, DO NOT use random taxi as most of them are not professional and did not train well.
