Default Requirements and Salaries for dentists

Hi,

Can anyone shed some light on the requirements for dentists wanting to work in Dubai or some of the other Gulf States. What options are available ? Hospital, private practice etc. What sort of salaries can a dentist command if they have 5 years plus experience ? There was a link on this forum but the link is no longer active. Thanks.

I am not 100% sure, depends if they are in private practice or within a hospital I would imagine. I know they have sit a MOH examination before they can practice. Check out for vacancies at the American Hospital Dubai and the Welcare Hospital. I am rather suspecting it isn't particularly well paid.

None of them here have passed any exams...

sorry. Registration is inevitable but Indian, Pak and Egyptian dents here and the Syrians have an extraordinary (good that is) reputation and charge / earn a lot.

Thanks, what would our best approach be ? Search for opportunities on the web, apply, and then come across. If there are no exams, then we neednt be certified, so should we rather plan a mini holiday and make a few appointments while we there ?

To be honest, I'd phone up a few and raise the matter of your wife too. Certainly in Kuwait she'll not be able to work for a year if you are the prime job person.

I just can't help you with professional matters because I know nothing and am shit scared of dentists.
