Replacement Birth Certificates
 

Anyone recommend a good company for supplying a replacement birth certificate (British)?

had my birth certificate 1 month ago and now cannot find the bloody thing!

Contact the registry office in your birth town. I got a replacement very quickly for only £2.

i had to get one years ago, and i rang up the registrar in england i was in scotland at the time, and was told that they could send it in the post for 6 gbp (to a uk address) or you can drive 'into' england and get a duplicate at any office.

we had to get replacement certificates a couple of month ago and used these guys, really quick.

do a google search mate, I did this a few years back, cost me £20 I think and took about a week. Can't remember the name of the company though.

well I've paid for a duplicate so will no doubt now find the original.
will look for it tonight.

for anyone in the same position just go onto www.gro.gov.uk
its just over 20 quid to get its sent to you urgent (within 2 days)

I paid a lot extra to get it by DHL. I don't trust the post here and can't risk waiting.

don't care about the money I've spent. just happy for the peace of mind.

now lets hope the one for the Mrs shows up quickly from her home country
