Default Rents in June 2009

Hi,

Two months ago I posted a poll about rents for next year. 75% thought they were going to increase. How about now? Share your guess for June 2009.

Cheers,

I honestly think there won't be a lot of difference to today.

I think a lot of investors will brave it out for as long as possible and leave apartments empty, as has been done already.

Are you asking about Dubai or Abu Dhabi? There is a difference and I suspect that Dubai will remain the same or go down slightly but Abu Dhabi will keep rising due to the current shortage of accomodation :curse:

I have voted no change, but it depends on the property. I had a client last week who was looking for a 4 bed in Jumeirah. Two of the villas I viewed weren't suitable but the landlords were prepared to negotiate, unheard of in the past couple of years.

One of the big(gest in Dubai - I guess) developers reckons that rents will go down between 20-40% by the middle of next year....
