Religious ceremony??
My partner and I are engaged and already have an one year old girl. We wanted to get married here in Ireland but the
process is lengthy and honestly we don't want to wait until next year to move to Dubai.
Does anyone know if a religious (catholic one) should be enough to live in the Middle East without breaking the law? TIA

Unless the marriage is registered in the Republic it won't be legal. Maybe consider eloping to Northern Ireland?

Las Vegas?
You can also do an Islamic ceremony in Dubai. Therefore, legal in the UAE and no need for attestations etc.

It would take forever there too, we're having the big wedding in the Caribbean in march next year but it'll be a simbólic one bc we thought we were going to be legally married before that date :/

Re: Religious ceremony??
We can't afford a vegas one as we're having our wedding in the Caribbean next march (it'll be simbolic since we thought we were going to be legally married before flying there) and makig legal there isn't a big deal, but it'll take 3 months after the ceremony to get the certificate then a couple months to legalise everything in the Dominican Republic embassy in London

My understanding is you have to give 28 days notice in NI rather than three months in the RoI. The classic option would be Gibraltar where you can marry over the course of a weekend.
