Red Backs

A friend has just found a red back in his garden in Springs - if he contacts the Municipality, does anyone know if they come out to spray the garden?

apparently so, but it could take some time! might be better just to pay for a private company to come in and do it :)

The are spiders ...poisonous ones - that cause a LOT of pain as well as some really, really bad symptoms such as high fever, vomiting, paralysis - and for the very young or old ...death.

Didn't know they were in the ME too

They are in Dubai thanks to the people who built Desert Springs compound..the little bastards moved from Australia in the prefab material brought over for construction.

I didn't bring them over ....honest ...never been to the ME.

If you get bitten....go straight to the doctor or hospital for anti-venom- don't move the affected part if at all possible.

They can make you really, really ill.

ha.

Was being serious ....move it as little as possible ...if you move, the pain gets even worse, and the poison travels quicker.

These are seriously bad little bastards.

We've got a live one here in the office if you want to adopt it. It's safely locked away in a plastic jar.
