Recommended property agents for rental in Muscat

Hi all

I'm currently living and working in Wadi Kabir but looking to upgrade my accommodation and move somewhere a bit more central.

I'm not in contact with many expats due to long hours so was hoping some of you may be able to point me in the direction of some good rental agencies.

Phone numbers, websites etc would be very useful.

Looking to move to the Qurum area for a 2/3 bedroomed apartment. Rent no more than R600.

If you have any helpful advice for my search that would be much appreciated.

Cluttons are ok from what I hear, but you need to visit in person. But you don't stand a chance getting a 2/3 bed appt in Qurm for less than 600, unless it is tiny and old and rundown. If you go outside an agency (eg look on notice boards in Al Fair) and deal direct with the landlord you will have a possible chance. Be aware though that most landlords are new, and don't know tenant's rights, or what is acceptable, so you need to educate yourself on those. I don't know them all myself as I live in company provided accommodation and don't have a choice where I live.
