Default Ramadan in Abu Dhabi

How strictly is this enforced? I imagine its nowhere near as lax as Dubai but hopefully its a little easier to be a westerner in AD during this time?

Will i be able to drink in my hotel during the day/night?(alcohol and non-alcohol)

Im leaving Qatar behind for a week or so so anything will be an improvement on there rules

Cheers in advance

To actually answer your question... if your hotel serves alcohol (not all do), you should still be able to drink it in the evening. Many (most?) hotels also set aside an area where you can eat/drink during the day, though I don't know if they'll let you drink alcohol during the day - I doubt it.

As far as I'm aware you can't get grog in any bar until after 7/8pm in Dubai.

So I'd expect something similar.

well ad is stricter than dxb, in dxb there are many many more places that open "behind curtains" during the daylight even in malls etc. in ad you would be lucky to find a handful. of course hotels will but in the past you had to apply for a licence to open and they were not always very forthcoming, they have gotten better over the years in the past you had to wait until a few days after the start before you knew...

if they serve it normally then quite often there will be 1 place that will service it but not until later in the evening.
