Quick RTA driving licence issue question
 

Quick question please knowledgeable folks

I need to get Mrs Tocks UK licence transferred to a Dxb licence. All the paperwork is done, eye test etc but just looking at locations to get this done rather her heading over to near T2 where I had mine done. The RTA website shows an licencing centre opposite Mall of the Emirates at the bottom of Umm sequim road.

Does anyone know for sure if they will issue driving licences here ? I know there is a RTA website before anyone states the obvious but there is also a Emirates ID website that said we could get Mrs Tocks ID processed at the ID centre in Al Barsha but when we got there it was for locals only so any help gladly received

Yep, it's the traffic police HQ iirc, there's a separate room for ladies, they get upset if you try and go in

are you sure...I am in there almost every week but I have never seen a special ladies room for getting a driving license...

There was when I took my good lady, wouldn't let me stay with her, was a long time ago thinking about it

cant say for dxb but when done in auh there wasnt a ladies section as such, you just got a number quicker than the men!

Hi,
there is also an RTA desk which issues licenses in the al manara municipality centre on SZR beside Noor Islamic Bank metro. :thumbup:

Mrs Tock ended up going to the main centre near T2. In and out in ten minutes, all done, super slick but thanks for the advice
