Qatar visitor visa: not staying in hotel or with relatives
Will a male UK passport holder get a visitor/tourist visa on arrival to visit a female friend in Qatar when the residential address is neither a hotel or a relative's?
The Qatar immigration website also suggests the arrival flight for a visitor should be Qatar Airways. Is this enforced, or will Emirates be OK?

You'll have no problem , most people are trying to escape not gain entry... Same scenario as Dubai / Abu Dhabi , the only difference is that they charge you a 100 QAR for the pleasure , which is really taking money under false pretenses.....!

UK Nationals should have no problems with entry visa, I arrived on a Saudia flight from Riyadh, paid the 100QR and that was it. THey insist the fee is paid by credit card though, so have one handy.
