Qatar license for driving in the UK?

Qatar license for driving in the UK?
I am just wondering does anyone knows, if we move back to the UK can I use my Qatari license to drive there? The reason because before we came to Qatar i tried to get a UK license, but then being told that i can't take the test if i dont live there for minimum of 6 mths.
Means if i move back to England now i would be car-less
