Re: Qatar driving license

All the information is here: portal.www.gov.qa/. Just be aware that there were news reports at the end of last year with changes to those nationalities that can automatically apply for a licence without taking a series of lessons and a test.

Re: Qatar driving license

Just done today.
Needed the following copies:

NOC from company
Company registration (the computerised one with list of signatories and company stamp to cross ref stamp on NOC)
Passport
RP
UK driving licence
Application form completed in Arabic with stamp and notes from eye test, photo attached.

Once papers were checked second counter wanted sight of original UK driving licence and RP. Collection of QR250 paid by card only and that was about it.

DL issued on the spot.

Nice big airy building, soft comfy sofas to relax and FB away the wait, or whatever. A coffee shop on site would do a roaring trade.

NB. There seems to be a reference that the eye test can be done at the traffic dept. So far as I could tell that's not true. Get it done at an optician. You will need the application form first, your company should have all that on hand.
