The trouble with a falling property market is how low can it go and for how long? Look at property in France in many areas - just continues to fall for years.

On a global level, property continues to offer excellent prospects for capital growth. For example, North America continues to be an attractive market for the UAE residents, due to the impressive returns it offers investors, as shown by Chicago which has experienced an 36% increase in house prices in the last five years while rental yields have increased 10% between 2016-2017.

I wouldn't purchase in Dubai right now, and if you're not in the UK, I wouldn't purchase there either. Do it when you get back, it's far easier and you'll be happier being closer to your investment.
I'd stay in Dubai and invest your current finances. It's easy to find a product that matches your needs and then pull your funds our before you go back to the UK. You'd get decent growth too, and be closer to 750k by the end of 2018!

It depends what your attitude to risk is.
Returns for the cautious can be 1-3%
Returns for the high risk investor could be 100%
It's personal - but there's products for everyone without getting into property or having to take hours to earn a good return

That sounds like a quitters solution!
Where we are, we drink and make dollar!

What I’m looking for is a long term savings plan where I put in 3k a month for around 10 years. That will give me a nice nest egg.
