Its just been announced on gulfnews.com that the private sector will also get a day off

...but it will be Monday 9th March rather than an extended weekend

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

Oh dear God, does this mean the rugby will be dry?

After all this time I'd hate to find out I actually didn't like watching rugby by having to watch it sober

I don't think so...I think the birthday is actually on the Monday, isn't it? That would mean 6pm Sunday - 6pm Monday.

The horse racing fell on same day a few years ago and they allowed alcohol as it was an 'international' event.
