Public holiday 8th March

According to Gulf News Sunday 8th is holiday:

http://www.gulfnews.com/nation/Government/10289319.html

So back to the usual question for times like this...what night is dry???

Normally I'm not too bothered, but I imagine the atmosphere at the RWC 7s may take a hit if they stop serving late afternoon Saturday.

...well..if it's a religious holiday (which it is), then usually the night before is dry - i.e., Saturday ! :(

Only the public sector (ie.government) will be getting Sunday off it seems.:frown:

By the way on Sunday 8th March the History Channel is premiering its program "Evolve" (don't know what time)...all about evolution. Good viewing for Beardman and Jacquie77 etc

The article doesn't mention the private sector, that's why.

Prophet (PBUH - you've all forgotten that bit)'s b-day is Monday 9th but for once they are showing some thoughtfulness and insight and are giving us the Sunday off instead so we can make a long weekend of it. Bars are usually shut from 6pm the night before, but whether that will be Saturday night (ie before the holiday) or Sunday night (ie before the actual day of celebration) who knows?

Yes I can read too! But the vast majority of expats are employed in the private sector.
