Default public companies in the UAE

Are there any companies in the UAE that publish their earnings etc.

Is it likely that the two major airlines - Emirates and Itihad - will go public?

Mubadala just published their earnings (or lack of). But they're not public.

You've asked these questions before haven't you?. Let me answer them again... No.

As for accounts - don't trust anything you read. The better companies probably run two books, the less honest ones probably just pay off the utterly useless auditors here.

As a side note, does this actually matter... can you actually read a set of accounts? Few people can read a set of modern day IFRS accounts - including most equities analysts...

I find it hard to believe that IPO will fly. Talk about doing it into a soft market... regional indexes at 7 year lows...
