Default Problems connecting to internet in flat

Hi All

We are having real problems trying to connect to the internet via Du in our new flat in the marina.

Du don't provide a router so we've bought our own router but it wont connect - we thought the router might be faulty, so bought another one, but the internet still wont connect.

Does anyone know of any IT / computer shops who might be able to help us connect to the internet? Du say that they can't help as they dont provide a router.

Thanks very much.

Hi, you need to...

(i) Connect your router to your pc with a network cable
(ii) Log into the router using a web browser (internet explorer, firefox, any will do).
(iii) Enter the router URL address into your web browser. This may be on the underside of the router, or check online with the make and model for the default details.
(iv) At the router's log in screen, enter the default login name and password for your router, again these details may be on the underside of the router, or you can get them online.
(v) Once logged in to your router, you need to enter the details for your Du account, usually an account number and a password. These might be on the papers that Du sent you, or you will have to phone them and ask.
(vi) Save your settings and you should be good to go.
