Default Prescription for controlled medication in Dubai?

Hi everyone, this is my first post on the forum so.. hullo :-)

My wife and I are looking into relocating to Dubai for a while. However, I'm not clear on the situation with prescription for what in Dubai would be a controlled substance. My wife here in the UK has a prescription for aripriprazole, which is on the list of controlled substances in Dubai. She needs this medication to function, so I am trying to get some clarity on how this would work. I certainly don't want to invest lots of time and money in this endeavour only to find that she can't get her medication out there.

Can anyone please advise - would there be any issues getting a prescription for the medication out there, providing she has the necessary doctors report and paperwork? I understand that residents need to obtain the electronic authorisation to import the medication, but only up to 90 days worth I think. After that, her supply would need to be obtained from the pharmacy.

Any advice appreciated.. Thanks very much!
