Powerboating this weekend in Doha

Anyone have any info on this?

Ive heard from friends little bits but nothing much. Theres no advertising it seems

Seen a few on the corniche yesterday on trailers and they did look pretty awesome

Is it just a stand on the corniche and spectate kind of thing?

I had a look the other year and headed to The Sheraton where the teams were plotted up . You can get right down by the front there as there's a park al the way down .

You'll get a beer in the Sheraton if you go outside to the pool area . There wasn't may facilities there but you could wander around the teams no problem and it was really close to the racing .

It's worth a look in any case mate , not the greatest but when something happens in Qatar it's better to have a go .

Can you just go into sheraton and have beer at pool bar or do you have to pay to use pool?

I dropped the guard 50 chips at the door as i didn't want to get banged for a days charge to use the pool .

Nice one cheers CDB. Thought it would of just been a case of standing watching from the corniche but this is a much better suggestion!

That was 2 years ago mind so things can change an awful lot or not at all in this place but it's worth a few hours out.
