Don't assume that about oil prices long term - investment is being reduced so dramatically this year that by 2022ish there may be a shortage of oil (assuming the pandemic is over), resulting in prices having to rise up over $60 or higher to make things balance.

But things may shift due to the ongoing pandemic , such a sharp drop in car sales being used by manufacturers to retool for electric cars, a significant drop in commuting due to increased WFH, a permanent drop in air travel, etc, not to mention a possible significant drop in total global population. This pandemic may make a number of unexpected long term or permanent changes to the way the world works.

Then there is the very real risk that a medium term collapse in oil prices may destabilize several countries in the Middle East.

Yes we do (#1 ) and as WD said this has been going on for years. In reality you could never do this 100% though because you need Client facing people of a certain calibre, and as much as design houses are good for churning stuff out they don't generally do anything too out of the norm, and even then getting the product right when working remotely can be a laborious process. You need to have the right quality in the design house and I am not convinced that can do this. I have used them on and off but find it slower and if anything more time intensive than using my CAD guy in the Sharjah office. Unless technology advances significantly I can't see this happening anytime soon. Yes good at churning out simple stuff but anything out of the norm then not a chance.
