Default Police checks in Dubai

As you have been resident in a non-UK country for more than six months, you will need to provide evidence from your own country or the country where you have been resident during the relevant period. For details of individual country requirements please refer to the relevant Embassy, High Commission or the police authorities of that country for advice.

In practical terms this means the evidence we require is one of the following:

(i)a certificate of good conduct

(ii)police report

(iii)other evidence of a clean criminal record that is deemed satisfactory

A friend's Son needs a letter for University, am I right in thinking that Rashidiya Police Station is the place to go? thanks

Sorry, can't actually help, but surely those aren't the words used by the university in question?

yup they are, copy and pasted. I have checked Police website and it is Rashidiya. I went with a friend who needed checks doing before emigrating.

It's called a Police Clearance Certificate and is easily obtained. See last Q&A on here:

I've only just realised that I was asked to provide one of these things for my current job by the HR monkeys. I was kind of busy when they asked so I ignored the request.

Probably wasn't that important seeing as they have given me my visa, and have been paying me. I don't think I'll bother now...
