Is there a place in Dubai like Salam Street in AD where I can take my car to get a host of things done to it (e.g. AC recharged, new mats, blue LED uncarlighting etc)?

I can't find it - it must be here somewhere.

there is a garage at Defence roundabout, pink one near French Bakery, failing that there are a lot of little garages in Satwa as well, or look up Icon Autos

Sadly like many things here they are getting sanitised and forced out of central areas. There was a thriving auto repair business in Satwa when I arrived, but very few and far between these days. Most moved to Aweer , on the Hatta Road, but lots of them fell under the axe like the Country Club and the Rugby and Cricket Clubs when Meydan blew into town!

All done - I was in AD yesterday so went to Salam street in the end. Great place - must be 150shops next to each other selling the same thing.

New mats and blue LEDs all round. Mini will love the Pajero.
