Phone signal in Saudi
 

Hi, what is international roaming like in Saudi, especially in the North West of the country? Would sat phones be a good idea?

Depends on the location. I was in Al Wajhi doing a contract for a couple of weeks last year. The signal was at time very hit and miss.
It might be best speaking to your employer and asking them to supply you a Sat phone, if it is for work related, other wise just suck it and see.

Thanks coffindodger, we've asked about sat phone and the answer was no. We wanted phone more for safety rather than contacting the office.
