It's not much if looked at in isolation - but it just adds to the list of ever increasing prices doesn't it?

Chillis (and many other restaurants) have increased prices as much as 25%

Also, people who live in Shj, Ajman and elsewhere to save on rent will now have to shell out more on travelling.

This is the first increase (or second?) this year, I hear there will be many more to come

Bye
Anya

Try spending a few weeks in the UK...It is still cheaper over there..even if there is a price hike........but the gap seems to be closing.

No more hardship posting.
Fewer and fewer expat deals to lure people.
Introduction of taxes...Petrol..municipatality housing tax etc.....

It will be interesting to see how Dubai will be in 5 years time...

it is still got to be the cheapest in the world, hopefully it will make people a bit more thoughtful about using the car, maybe cheaper petrol for car poolers as a car pool lane would be laughable here!

Anyway doesn't affect me, company pays for petrol. Might do a poll on that one.
