Wow!

Ours is about 300 Dhs, even with the extra surcharge because we request one at an embassy or consulate. And you get your fingerprints scanned and put into a national database accessible by everyone who thinks they have a right to it, completely free of charge, courtesy of the government

any ideas...? thanks...

Hi,

Permanent address always refers to your address in your home country. The country where you are a citizen of which should be your British Address.

at least they last for 10 years... unlike paying more than half for a childs passport which you have to renew every 5, so if they were born here, then that means you need to get 4 passports because they will be only 15....! 1 year short of getting a "proper" passport.

We've always used address of country where we live...what if you don't have a property in your home country?

exactly...
and it's not like your adress has any importance, cause you don't have to renew your passport every time you move...you can have your passport done and move to the other end of the world the next day, it has no impact on your passport.
the only things mentioned in it are your nationality and your country of birth...
