Overstaying your welcome

Overstaying your welcome
Hello, my visa is going to be cancelled in Sept and a new one issued (by a new employer)... My Maid's visa expired in July and I'm reluctant to renew it for only 2 months before having to renew her visa again...
so, my questions are:
1) What are the fines
2) How much trouble will I get in
3) How long can I just keep paying the daily fine... can I get away with it for say 2 months or will they lock me (and her and hopefully not in the same cell) up?

Re: Overstaying your welcome
Are you sure you have to renew it?
I'm sponsoring my wife, and the story I got was her visa would not be affected when I needed a new one...
Mind you, she's running off to the UK anyway, so I'll never find out if this was actually the case or not.

She is Filipina - she doesn't want to go home just yet and wants to go at Christmas - i was wondering if a visa run would work..

Re: Overstaying your welcome
I think you can just sponsor her now and then when you change jobs you may have to show the new contract and amend it.
I will ask my friend in immigration for you xx

Thanks - I'm not sure if this matters but I'm changing from an AD visa (government sponsor) to a DIFC visa.
