Overland to EU via Iran...
Hey... Has anyone caught a ferry to Iran then driven up and across through Turkey and into Europe, final destination Holland?

Cheers. From memory, the mountain roads between Iran & Turkey are pretty trecherous. Not sure about how easy visas & border crossings would be, either. If you find out any details, do share. I would like to do an Iran road trip (ferry to Iran, tour around & then return to Dubai/Sharjah). |

read They Saddle Dogs by Greg Hunt. He drove from Abu Dhabi to London, via KSA and Egypt etc. Really good book :thumbsup:

I was there as a baby :) I want to check out Isfahan, the remains of Persepolis, the Zoroastrian temple - not that it's the only place in the world with an ancient culture, but i think the context would make an interesting experience. |

I was going to fly - Tehran, Shiraz, Esfahan.
I found one company which can guarantee visas quickly for around $250. It can take time I think. A friend spent two months getting his visa (although he was going for work) |
