My son has an eye problem that needs to be regularly assessed by an opthamologist. We had a really good one in Bahrain, but have not been able to find a one in Dubai yet, so if anyone has a recommendation I would really appreciate it.

Sorry Jackthehat, I forgot to mention my wife tried them, but they don't have any open appointments until late November at the earliest and my son is due an assessment in October. However if nothing else is available we'll have to wait I guess..

So is there anywhere else? Even if it's for a one-off assessment..

You could try Welcare at Garhoud. Dr Satish is exceptionally good, and has been there for a number of years. He has carried eye surgery on me twice in the past (Spontaneous Cataract and CSR), without any problems at all. I only suggested Moorfields, as most of the Ophthalmology Department from Welcare seem to have migtrated there.
