Opening a bank account
How easy is it in Qatar to open a bank account and what documents are needed. Can it be done before you arrive or is it best to wait till you have arrived and started work?
Which is the best bank? Do they have fees like here in NZ?

And for a wife to open a bank account have to get a letter from sponsor (hubby). I never have a bank account in Qatar under my name ... too much hassle.

Ok thanks for that info, will probably do same, just leave it in hubby's name, after all he will be transferring most of his salary to me in NZ 
and I suppose I will spend what's left on each visit to Doha.
There's always credit cards eh? lol
