Default One Way Ticket

Does anyone know if a wife and children are travelling from UAE on a one-way ticket with current residency visas would this create a problem at passport control??

Can't see it being a problem.

I know someone who's wife has a resident visa but still spends most of her time in blighty. She always gets a return ticket from the UK and hence flies back with no return journey back to the UAE.

It could, however, depend on the nationality of the people flying . . . If not British (or EU now I guess ?) passport holders there might be a problem.

no kids can't get the Egate pass but they do come with you and go past the Egate desk with their passports so you are not separated from them...
