Oman - insurance / car hire
 
anyone drove to Oman and knows how much it costs to get insurance at the border? how long does the process take? are the queues generally long or do you get the insurance sorted when you do your visa?

depends how long u need it but its not much. Ten quid or so I think when we went for 4 days.

you stop at a shack between the 2 border posts (Hatta). took us 10 minutes
