Looks like the royal family has agreed upon a successor; does this mean we never get to find out whose name was in the sealed envelope?

I read that they did open the envelope and the name was Haitham bin Tariq Al Said

Oh, OK - I thought the Royal Family had three days to come to a consensus and choose, and only if they couldn't when time expired the envelope would be opened? Have I got that wrong?

It appears the the ruling family decided to just follow Qaboos' wishes and not spend 3 days arguing about it. The letter was opened immediately.
