I know - unfortunately the offer is not going to change - i have been told firm. On the bright side I will make double the net salary i am making in the UK - I guess will have to manage in what I am able to get.

Then you really need to think hard about taking the job. For your wife, a good compound is essential and I don't think you'll get anywhere habitable without having to top up out of your salary.

Didn't mean to mislead you, I'm in Canada! I miss home and my friends..wish we hadn't taken my son out of Sketty Primary as it's now impossible to get him back in or anywhere else including Parklands, Hendrefoilan etc.. I hear Oaklands is pretty full too.
